This place was a hit! Loved it, food, service atmosphere was perfect. We started with cocktails I believe mine was called the Hawaiian, it had gin, pineapple, basil leaf and a few other flavors, delicious. Next we tried the Fry bread and Crab salad for starters, very good. For my entree I had the Branzino , it was flavorful but I was expecting a bigger fish. For dessert I tried the coconut pie WOW my tastebuds were very pleased. I can't think of anything that I didn't enjoy about this experience. I will most definitely be back very soon.

This restaurant has been on my "must try" list, I just hate driving to the N. Highlands area because of the parking lol. Anyway, we came right around opening, so we were seated quickly. With this being our first time, our server, Gary, was great! He was friendly and was spot on with his recommendations. The Food: Trout Crudo - very similar to ceviche. The seasoning went very well with the freshness of the fish. If you're not used to raw fish, I may suggest trying something else. Fry Bread - light, airy. The honey is a great finishing touch. Lobster Roll - the lobster was slightly overcooked and it was slightly rubbery. Outside of that, the flavors messed pretty well. Collar - this was randomly the star of the evening. The cut is behind the gills of a grouper. That scallion/ginger sauce SANG on that plate and brought the jicama slaw and fish together! Branzino - well executed dish. Seasoned good. Try and pair with the coconut fried rice, it'll change your life! I would definitely recommend anyone who is a seafood lover to try.

Came here with a group of 7 to celebrate a birthday - it was a great time! Our server was super friendly and really helpful when selecting good drinks and items to order. I got the Moqueca Stew and it was good! I'm not a huge seafood person, so I think this is a safe order for someone that wants something not "fishy". For the birthday girl, the restaurant brought out some vanilla ice cream with cherries, it was cute! *Only knocking away one star because the service was extremely slow, I think it took us 45 minutes to ORDER our drinks

After a visit to the presidential library near by we were starving. This place was close by and did we hit the jackpot? YES Great ambiance with lots of natural light. Friendly and curious staff. We started with the clam chowder which was phenomenal. Rich flavor and creamy. Next up was the Lobster Roll .. OMG... so fresh and flavorful. Fish and chips were lightly battered and not greasy. Delicious fries too. This place is a MUST!

The first thing I would say is start with the fry bread. Absolutely delicious, flakey and sweet. I'm not really an oyster girl but they have plenty of options and can talk you through what to order. I ended up getting the fish sandwich which was a grilled filet with slaw and fries. It was absolutely delicious. My friends got the lobster roll and the stew. Both were tasty. They have a great drink menu and there is plenty of inside and outside seating. The patio is super cute with fans and plenty of shade while the inside is glamorous. The servings aren't super large and you'll certainly pay for an upscale experience but I think it's worth it. If you were hoping for a big fish fry however, this won't be it. Nice service, tasty food and a cute vibe!

It was nice weather out so I decided to check out BeetleCat for their oyster happy hour. I came right at 4 and sat on their patio. Beware--when it's windy their paper menus will fly EVERYWHERE. I forgot which oysters I tried but they were $1.50 each so I got half a dozen to try by myself. Super good, I enjoyed them. I also ordered the coconut fried rice which honestly I was a bit hesitant about because it had cashews (not a fan of nuts in my food) and it had no protein but OMG, delicious. Whoever's idea it was to put plantains in coconut fried rice was a genius. Perfectly added sweetness to the dish. Literally obsessed. And such a hearty portion. It was one of the more cheaper items on the menu coming in at around $18 and I honestly think you could Split this amongst two people. Overall, friendly staff and great service. Definitely will be back for their happy hour and maybe I'll splurge and get the lobster roll which I had been eyeing!

We came to start off our mini bar/restaurant crawl in the neighborhood (highly recommend this btw) and it was nice! The fried bread truly was delicious (albeit a little oily), the crudo was delicious as were the oysters, and I enjoyed my drink. We felt slightly awkward because we only ordered appetizers but we figured it was ok because it was before the dinner rush, they weren't busy at all at the time, and we only stayed for about 30ish minutes... the staff didn't say anything rude but didn't make us feel comfortable about not ordering entrees either, if that makes sense? Idk might just have been my interpretation of it, but that's how I felt, so we ended up sort of rushing just to leave. Despite this, I did enjoy the food and the ambiance so might go back for a full meal at some point!

PARKING (3/5): Street parking is tough during peak dinner times and especially weekends. Carpool if you can! Or walk the BELTLINE to get here, right off the path. AMBIANCE (4/5): They have an upstairs restaurant that is more casual, brightly lit, and slightly louder. Their downstairs is such an awesome vibe! They have a bar, plus indoor/outdoor seating, but I would consider this "loungy." A cute first date kinda place. SERVICE (4/5): I've always had excellent service everytime I come here. Keep up the great work! Kuddos. FOOD (4/5): $12 FRY BREAD: I've never had "fry bread" before, but this place made me obsessed! It's warm, sweet, salty, and crunchy. The perfect combination of flavors and textures. I'd much rather have this than a bread basket. MUST TRY! $24 MUSSELS: WOW! I'm pretty sure this is an appetizer, but I just ordered it as my meal and it was delightful! Buttery wine sauce, a ton of mussels, a tiny bit of spice and crispy bread to soak up all the sauce. Great to split between 2 people. $28 CRAB ROLL: although I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this crab roll, it is SO TINY. Is it a perfect portion for my tiny self? YES. But, it's small. You have been warned. I'd still order it because it's that good. Comes with fries. OVERALL (4/5): Love this spot. They check off all the boxes I'm looking for in a restaurant. The ONLY critique I have is how small the lobster roll and crab roll portions are. BUT to be fair, they pack in the meat! I will continue to remain a loyal customer until otherwise noted. Sometimes I just can't splurge for a weeknight $42 lobster roll.

Beetlecat is amazing and they just came out with a new Friday lunch! They have all their best entrees, small plates and more on the menu! And they also have milkshakes and floats! Everything was a great price for lunch. The lobster on the lobster roll is die for!! We loved it!! You will also always get amazing service at Beetlecat. Definitely check it out next time you are in Inman park!

Beetlecat was such a cute brunch spot in Inman Park. The ambiance was bright, and the decor was clean with nautical accents. Reservations were easy to make (we had a group of 7). Street parking is available, but there is also a deck behind the restaurant as well (they do not validate for parking). The staff was welcoming and attentive. The brunch menu is limited and the entrees seem to rotate. The seafood tasted clean and fresh. The seafood entrees had a decent amount of seafood (didn't feel jipped). The restaurant was also walking-distance to the beltline. It was nice to have the group walk after the meal as well.
